Cleaning: Dirty feeders spread disease. We recommend disinfecting your nectar feeders every three to five days, or more frequently if you notice your nectar has become cloudy. Do not put your feeder in the dishwasher as the high temperatures can permanently damage the feeder parts. Soak all parts in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Use a bird feeder brush to brush away grime inside the feeder.
I have not used this one as of yet because the hummingbirds have not returned to Ohio. I currently own a copper one very similar to this that is at least 15 years old. It is the first one I fill each spring and the one I must fill most often. The solution never sits in it long enough to turn milky or go rancid. I am hoping the new one will have the same results.

I Love and The Hummers Love
I have been using this particular feeder for several years and hope it's never discontinued. I have several in my yard and the birds flock to them. My deck is Grand Central station all day long especially for the morning and evening feedings. I have improvised on this model though to accommodate the various sizes of Hummers. I found for the larger adults the perches were a bit too short for them to extend their beaks into the troughs comfortably. I used this wire, https://www.amazon.com/Luster-Leaf-Rapiclip-Light-Natural/dp/B01508VT60 to wrap around the outer rim looping through each perch another 1/2 inch or so. This not only accommodates the various sizes but is also gentle on their feet during hot and cold months. The brilliant copper is very attractive and easy to keep clean. I have them sitting flat on the corners of my deck set on top a swatch of velvet red Christmas ribbon. The birds can't miss the place when flying by:) Quick tip for distracting bees. Feed the bees with their own bowl of a thick sugar slurry away from the feeders 10-15 ft. Put a bright yellow ball, cap or toy in the center of it and they will leave your feeders alone.

I'v been using this model of feeder for the past 6 years. The birds love them, They come in droves and I currently have 5 of them out to accomodate all the traffic. Love the copper look, trying to get used to the newer lavender colored ones.

DANGEROUS to hummingbirds !!
Looks great BUT......METAL gets very cold in the winter and METAL gets very hot in the summer. The METAL foot rest area where the hummingbird can rest (save calories) when feeding can cause the hummingbirds feet to FREEZE TO THE METAL (of course! ) and in the hot summer THE METAL can totally burn the humminbird's feet. MANUFACTURER: DO NOT USE METAL !!!!
Hi Pat, Thank you for your review of the More Birds Glory Hummingbird Feeder. We are sorry to see your overall disappointment with this product. We do offer other hummingbird feeders that are not metal if you are interested in other materials. We will be sharing your feedback with our Product Development and Design team. Please know that hummingbirds should migrate in winter months, so they should not be around when it is freezing outside. It’s totally understandable to think that the birds’ exposed feet would cause similar results to a human's skin touching cold metal, but there’s actually some interesting science behind why birds are completely safe. Birds’ feet are not like ours. They don't have sweat glands, and no sweat glands means no moisture to freeze to the metal on your birdfeeder. Also, we suggest hanging your hummingbird feeder out of direct sunlight, always. Direct sunlight will spoil the nectar faster, so hanging the feeder in partial shade will extend the life of the nectar and keep the feeder cool. The perches are a nice added feature to hummingbird feeders, however, they are unnecessary as hummingbirds mostly feed while in flight. If you have any other questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service Team at 1-800-352-9164. Thank you!
