Birds That Use This Feeder
Type Of Feed
It has worked fine. The tray keeps the bird seeds from falling to the ground.
I’ve had DY feeders all my life, they by far the most durable of any other brand and I’ve tried many. I already had a tube thistle and threw out my tube sunflower feeder because it was cracked (didn’t realize I could have gotten a replacement tube, dang). Bought both those feeders 25 years ago. The original thistle feeder is still going strong; just bought another one and this sunflower seed feeder. Don’t waste any money like I did buying anything but Droll Yankee!
Bought mine at a garage sale for 75 cents, cleaned it and it works perfectly.
I put this together 3 days ago, filled it with seed, and set it out. Birds took right to it. I love the quality of the feeder and look forward to passing it on to my children as I am 66.
I had one of these for almost 30 years. Just this week a bear stole it along w/my five-foot iron pole. It broke my heart. I loved that feeder, it was just the best and had outlasted all the other feeders I have had in addition. We searched the woods to see if we could find it, but no luck so far.
