Cleaning: Dirty bird feeders spread disease. We recommend cleaning your feeders weekly, or monthly at a minimum. Clean your feeders outdoors with a large bucket, and always wear gloves when cleaning. Soak your feeder in a 9:1 solution of water and bleach for 15 minutes. Then use a bird feeder brush to scrub the feeder with dish soap and water. Refill when completely dry.
2 Year Manufacturing Warranty: Register your product online here. Once you register, the Forever Promise covers all feeders, accessories and components from manufacturing and materials defects for 2 years or 24 months from date of purchase. Droll Yankees will repair or replace, at its discretion, any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge. The Forever Promise does not cover damage through normal wear and tear, weather, or bear, raccoon or other animal damage.
Lifetime Squirrel-Damage Warranty: If your feeder is badly damaged by squirrels, to the extent that the effectiveness of the feeder is compromised, The Forever Promise also includes a lifetime warranty against squirrel-damage on all our products.

Great! It took a bit for the Lesser Goldfinches to figure out how to get to the seed, now they are pros and have told all their friends. The feeder is awesome looking and very well made. No cheap plastic of faulty hardware from this USA company. It also looks like it will be easy to clean, unlike tube feeders. One thing I also noticed, I don't seem to have as much discarded seed as I have had with tube feeders. All in all I love it. I am truly amazed how many feathered friends can all dine together. They fill up the joint!

This is the best platform feeder I've ever had. It's rugged and durable, and holds a lot of seed. The cover keeps the rain and snow out. Well worth the price.
I preferred the previous feeder that I had for a few years. This is wider; but the height is a problem for the larger birds (Mockingbirds) that enjoy the mealworms I put out for them. The other (D.Y) wasn't as wide; it was deeper. The smaller birds aren't attracted at all (in either one of them). I had wanted to buy the former; even though it fell too many times & cracked. I should have been patient & waited for the one I really wanted to be available.
Hi Gail, Thank you for your review of the Droll Yankees Covered Platform Feeder with Adjustable Dome. We understanding that you love your previous feeder, but we think it is awesome that you are branching out and giving a different one a try! Just like people, birds can take a long time, sometimes weeks, to feel comfortable around a new feeder. Birds feel vulnerable out in the open, so try to place your feeder near a bush or tree, but not too close where squirrels can jump on it. If you have other feeders, placing a new one near an older one will help the birds get used to it. You can always try offering black oil sunflower seeds, as this is a favorite of most birds! We hope that you start seeing more birds at your feeder soon! If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Customer Service Team at 1-800-352-9164. Thank you for flying with our flock!
This great feeder was key to my efforts to deter clouds of starlings from taking over my feeders. The finches now have a safe, undisturbed place to eat--and soon, I'll raise the dome a bit to encourage the cardinals that have now found my feeding area.
Wonderful feeder—high quality, easy to use. I got it to feed cardinals, as the “bully birds” kept hogging the usual style feeder. Since I can control the dome height, it allows in only smaller birds up to cardinal size, and keeps out the others! Satisfying!!!
