Cleaning: Please! For the sake of the birds, keep your feeder clean! Dirty feeders spread disease. We recommend disinfecting your bird feeders once a month in winter and more often in hot and humid weather. Soak all parts in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Use a bird feeder brush to brush away grime inside the tube. Then remove any hardware and clean with a solution of mild soap and water, rinsing thoroughly. Refill when completely dry.
2 Year Manufacturing Warranty: Each product comes with a registration card to mail back, or you can simply register your product online. Once you register, the Forever Promise covers all feeders, accessories and components from manufacturing and materials defects for 2 years or 24 months from date of purchase. Droll Yankees will repair or replace, at its discretion, any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge. The Forever Promise does not cover damage through normal wear and tear, weather, or bear, raccoon or other animal damage.
Lifetime Squirrel-Damage Warranty: If your feeder is badly damaged by squirrels, to the extent that the effectiveness of the feeder is compromised, The Forever Promise also includes a lifetime warranty against squirrel-damage on all our products.

purchased the B-7 and the perches don't fit. Spent about 15 minutes trying to get them through and gave up after hurting my hand. I see other comments about this and having to drill to widen holes, putting perches in the freezer. Why bother correcting this when the manufacturer knows its a problem and still doesn't fix it. Will return. Wouldn't buy anything from this brand again.
Hi Bob, Thank you for your review of the Droll Yankees Classic B-Series Silver Sunflower Bird Feeder. We are sorry to hear that the perches did not fit the tube. It sounds like the holes on the tube may have been punched incorrectly. We would be happy to replace the tube for you, if you would like to give us the opportunity to do so. Please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-800-352-9164 or at firstname.lastname@example.org and they would be happy to assist you. We hope we get the opportunity to make this right for you! Thank you for flying with our flock!
Love the feeder. Holds lots of sunflower seeds. Finches currently have it covered up.
Quality construction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Really pleased with it, my first Droll Yankees feeder but, definitely, won't be my last.
I bought this a year ago but haven't used it because it has a hole in the bottom and I cannot find a tray that fits under it. Any suggestions? My classic 25 year old two perch model is going strong! It has a solid bottom. Marian
Thank you for contacting Droll Yankees. Please check the bottom of your feeder for a clear plastic seed baffle. This baffle prevents the seed from going past the bottom pair of feeding ports and out the hole in the base. The threaded hole serves as a way to pole-mount your feeder or attach a seed tray. If the clear plastic seed baffle is for some reason missing, we would be happy to send you a replacement. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-352-9164 and any one of our Customer Service Reps will be happy to assist you. Our hours are 7 am 4:30 pm Mon-Fri (EST). Thank you for flying with our flock, and happy birding!
Just received and hung my B-72 feeder. Holds so much feed that I'm hoping I won't need to fill it too often. I did have trouble inserting the metal perches as the holes in the tube were a bit too tight. I would have broken the feeder tube if I pushed any harder. Used a drill to carefully expand the holes just enough that the pins slid in smoothly and still tight.
Hi Bob, Thank you for contacting Droll Yankees. We are sorry to hear you are having difficulties installing the perches on your B-72 feeder. We recommend place the perch rods in the freezer for 20-30 minutes for easier insertion. If you continue to experience any difficulties assembling your feeder, please call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-352-9164 and any one of our Customer Service Reps will be happy to assist you. Our hours are 7 am 4:30 pm Mon-Fri (EST). Thank you for flying with our flock!
