Cleaning: Please! For the sake of the birds, keep your feeder clean! Dirty feeders spread disease. We recommend disinfecting your bird feeders once a month in winter and more often in hot and humid weather. Soak all parts in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Use a bird feeder brush to brush away grime inside the tube. Then remove any hardware and clean with a solution of mild soap and water, rinsing thoroughly. Refill when completely dry.

Once you register, the Forever Promise covers all feeders, accessories and components from manufacturing and materials defects for 2 years or 24 months from date of purchase. Droll Yankees will repair or replace, at its discretion, any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge. We've had two of these hung out back for four years now, near the Mississippi in Wisconsin. In addition to a lot of birds, we have a lot of squirrels. And over the summer, raccoons at night. Which isn't great, but we've learned to coexist. Over winter we need to fill them both every day. Over the summer we half fill them daily, because we like them to be mostly empty before the raccoons show up. These feeders are surviving the stresses terrifically. They were worth every penny. I'd buy them again, but it seems I won't need to for quite a while more. They are durable things.
We bought this feeder, along with the seed tray, to replace a Droll Yankees feeder that was handed down to us 30 years ago. Great quality, couldn't be happier with this product. The birds really like the Tube-Of-Seeds design. It looks like the improved slanted bottom will ensure that no seed will be wasted. It's easy to refill and hang on a suspended hook. I use a combination of seed mix and straight sunflower seeds in layers and it is always busy. What a joy! (Shipping and packaging was not a problem.)
I like it very much BUT. There should be supplied a plug for the bottom of the feeder if it is to be hung instead of ******** a pole into the bottom. I was able to find a plug but would have preferred something made exactly for the feeder.

Never received product. Customer service says to file a claim for a lost package with USPS but when I asked about refund/replacement they basically said its out of their hands. This was supposed to be a Christmas gift for my mother in law. Would not recommend.
