Cleaning: Dirty bird feeders spread disease. We recommend cleaning your feeders weekly, or monthly at a minimum. Clean your feeders outdoors with a large bucket, and always wear gloves when cleaning. Soak your feeder in a 9:1 solution of water and bleach for 15 minutes. Then use a bird feeder brush to scrub the feeder with dish soap and water. Refill when completely dry.
2 Year Manufacturing Warranty: Register your product online here. Once you register, the Forever Promise covers all feeders, accessories and components from manufacturing and materials defects for 2 years or 24 months from date of purchase. Droll Yankees will repair or replace, at its discretion, any manufacturing defect in these products free of charge. The Forever Promise does not cover damage through normal wear and tear, weather, or bear, raccoon or other animal damage.
Lifetime Squirrel-Damage Warranty: If your feeder is badly damaged by squirrels, to the extent that the effectiveness of the feeder is compromised, The Forever Promise also includes a lifetime warranty against squirrel-damage on all our products.
Birds That Use This Feeder
Type Of Feed
I put mealworms out twice a day for the bluebirds in this little feeder. The small size keeps their mealworm intake to a small quantity, which is good b/c if I put out twice as much they'd eat those, too. Our bluebirds love this little feeder (as well as their dependable mealworm supply)!
Just got it yesterday and the birds are flocking to it. Very sturdyAnd the device to hold the top up works very well. Looks like there was a design change.
I agree that the design is flawed. The o-ring has a limited life and extras are not provided. I also tend to imagine the worst possibility that a bird gets stuck inside if the ring fails while a bird is eating.

The O ring does dry out. I have used super glue to hold dome in place. Otherwise, Id give it 5 stars. Ive had mine one year. Cardinals sit in it to feedone at a time since its so small. Carolina Wrensstop by and other small birds like chickadees and titmice do their usualgrab a seed and eat it in cover.

I have 2 of these. They are cheap and durable. I think I paid $8 at FosterSmith. I have had them knocked down on to cement a few times by squirrels and they have not cracked. Yes the rubber O ring will dry and break over time. I just used electrical tape after that for a stopper.
