    QUALITY?

    Older Flippers were great!!!! My first Flipper motor lasted 10 years but then you changed the base and I had to order a new one (not a big deal) BUT when this new motor lasts just long enough not to be under warranty (1 week past the warranty date of 1 year). What happened to your QUALITY? One year versus Ten years is a substantial decline. Not a happy customer.

    I love my Yankee Flipper

    I bought the feeder back in April timeframe and now 8 months later it doesn’t really spin anymore. I really have to push on it. But squirrels can hang in and eat away no problem. I am wondering if this is covered by the warranty? Are you the manufacturer?

Yes, the Yankee Flipper Powerstick and AC/DC Adapter are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of purchase. In the event of a manufacturing defect, Droll Yankees will replace the Powerstick and AC/DC Adapter free of charge. This warranty does not extend to damage through improper use, improper cleaning, weather.     No answer to numerous calls for help.

    I’ve called many times to customer service, left messages. No return calls. Bought the drill yankee flipper and the squirrels have chewed thru the plastic and the power turner doesn’t work anymore. Is this a lifetime warranty item or not? In 6 month, no good.

    I love these feeders! We have had five of them hanging for several years. It's the only way the raccoons and squirrels don't get all of the food. I actually have a video of a squirrel refusing to get off the spinner until he did 22 revolutions! We have had some issues with the motor/spinner portion of some of the feeders operating too stiffly to spin when larger animals landed on them. Also have had to buy extra feeders to get enough motor/spinners to keep them charged. I am very surprised to see the price increase of 57% since I bought my last feeder just two years ago. Now that I have another failed motor/spinner unit, I will have to choose whether to buy another whole feeder or the unit I need. Once invested in multiple feeders, it would be nice if the company at the parts available at a more reasonable price.

    Hi Dorothy, Thank you for contacting Droll Yankees. Unfortunately, this feeder is not raccoon-proof. We find that raccoons are too heavy to spin the feeder and end up damaging the components of the Powerstick. We would recommend bringing the feeder in at nighttime so that the raccoons can move onto other food sources. In the event of a manufacturing defect, Droll Yankees will replace the Powerstick free of charge. This Yankee Family Limited Warranty does not extend to damage through improper use, improper cleaning, weather, neglect, abuse, modification, disassembly, or falls whether of an accidental, weather, or squirrel-related cause. It is strongly recommended that your feeder be secured in some way.
